Davey's Ice Cream is a locally owned small independent business now headquartered in Greenpoint Brooklyn. In 2013 we opened our first shop and production facility in the heart of the East Village, specializing in creative ice cream spins on nostalgic classics entirely made from scratch!
We are seeking a porter responsible for general dishwashing, cleaning and stock organization. Must be reliable and have experience in a fast paced kitchen environment.
A successful porter will proactively complete tasks like; discarding rubbish as needed throughout the shift, operating industrial dishwasher, and putting away and organizing deliveries.
Main Duties
Rinse, clean, organize, stock and maintain proper amount of pots, pans, silverware and dishware
Adhere to health and safety policy
Follow checklists and standard operating procedures
Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area
Operate industrial cleaning machine
Sweeping and mopping floors
Limit breakage, practice proper handling to prevent loss
Be flexible on whatever duties or tasks you are asked to perform
Be available to help and collaborate with other stations if requested or needed
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.
