Job Summary
As a valued Long Island Bagel Café Team Member you will work alongside other Team Members to create a great experience for our guests. Team members will be cross trained in all areas to allow for flexible scheduling and coverage. Scheduling will include both Saturday and Sunday hours, in addition to weekdays/holidays.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Greet customers and take food orders in person and over the phone
Safely operate deli equipment
Operate cash register and take payments
Prepare incoming food orders to customer specifications
Assemble and pack food orders
Participate in cleaning projects and upkeep of stations
Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labeling, stocking, storing, and rotating
Provide excellent customer service with a friendly and energetic spirit
Clean and stock work areas
Qualifications:
Cook/Cashier experience in a food and beverage environment necessary
Excellent guest service abilities – friendly, polite, high-energy demeanor
Highly responsible and dependable
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods of time and move swiftly throughout the establishment
Good communication and comprehension skills when taking food and beverage orders and interacting with customers
Previous experience in the food industry
Compensation/Benefits:
$18 per hour
Experienced candidates and those that demonstrate exceptional skills may be eligible for an hourly rate increase
