OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE: Team members are responsible for warm hospitable service and preparing and presenting quality food in a safe environment that meets or exceeds guests’ expectations every time. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys multi-tasking. Specifically, looking for someone to fill an evening/closing shift.
PRINCIPLE ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Desire to deliver the highest quality food and service experience to every guest.
Ability to engage with guests directly, speak to food, and create a great guest experience.
Familiar with operating a deli slicer, hot breakfasts and sandwich making
Ability to follow directions and specifications as designed
Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage, and work areas.
Ability to prepare ingredients by following recipes; slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients; adding seasonings; verifying taste; and plating meals.
Adherence to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintain temperature and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) logs as required; and maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items.
Stores leftovers according to established standards using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method.
Assists with receipt of deliveries and cross checks for accuracy.
Completes cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules and supports dishwashing/pot washing as needed
Handles sales transactions at retail counter.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum one (1) year of retail, hospital, institutional, or restaurant experience
Current NYC food handler’s card and any other certifications as required by NYC
Familiar with point-of-sale computers and software
Flexibility in schedule with the ability to work early mornings, weekends, and evenings
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
