Di An Di is an independent Vietnamese American restaurant in Greenpoint and we are searching for the right individual to join our FOH team as a Head Bartender to coach, train, and mentor our bar team, provide welcoming service, and take ownership of the cocktail program at Di an Di!
We are looking for someone who is warm, welcoming, has knowledge of all aspects of beverage and cocktail creation, as well as someone who is well versed in beverage inventory management while setting an exemplary example for the bar team! If this is you, we would love to meet you!
We are looking for someone with full availability. 5 shifts a week with two consecutive off days- a healthy combination of daytime shifts + dinner shifts.
Role and Responsibilities;
Set the tone for a warm + welcoming bar
Knowledge of both our food + beverage offerings
Maintain organization of wine closet and liquor cage
Coach + mentor the bar team, ensuring consistency with practices + procedures
Providing solutions and feedback for the bar program: what are we doing great, what can be improved upon
Classic Cocktail knowledge is a must
Recipe development
Upkeep of cocktails, syrups, juices and ensuring the team is knowledgeable in House Cocktails, wine, spirits, liquor, and classic cocktails
Provide standardized cocktail specs for classic cocktails
Place produce orders with Culinary team
Monitor pars and update par sheets as needed
Seasonal and ongoing cocktail creation + R&D
Weekly Beverage Inventory + liquor room/wine room organization
Willingness to coach, be coached, and be a team player that works well with others
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($16.00 - $18.00) plus tips
