Hello! Di an Di is looking to add a part time host to the team! We are looking for a candidate with full availability, possesses a warm and a positive attitude, is a self starter, and has a passion for food, beverage, and taking great care of any guest that walks through our restaurant. We would love to meet with you if you have these qualities!
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
2+ years and experience working in NYC restaurants as a host preferred
Must have weekend availability
Experience working with OpenTable
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must life and carry at least 50 pounds
Comfortable with repetitive motions
Knowledgeable of industry critics, influencers, and awards
3-4 shifts with full schedule availability preferred
Takes coaching well and works well in a team environment
SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES
Show warmth, knowledge of our restaurant, and have an appreciation and understanding of our food and beverage offerings
Acts professionally and always maintains composure
Greet, seat, and update status updates on OpenTable, alerting MOD on any 911s
Follow steps of service
Answer the phone in a professional and warm manner
Hand out delivery orders
Take any in person takeout orders
Manage the flow of the restaurant, including the wait list, in a busy Brooklyn restaurant
Identify any VIPS or guests of note using the soignee system implemented by the restaurant
