The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both culinary arts and baking, with the ability to prepare and execute a range of menu items, from savory dishes to delectable baked goods. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes including breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, and daily specials.
- Bake a range of products such as bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Follow recipes and presentation guidelines to meet cafe standards.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain kitchen operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to special requests and dietary needs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a cook and baker in a cafe, restaurant, or bakery setting.
- Strong knowledge of cooking and baking techniques, as well as food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Creativity and passion for culinary arts.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
