Busy bagel store with full cafe menu in Brooklyn Heights/ Cobble Hill looking for an EXPERIENCED grill cook or diner chef for hot food preparation. Must have strong skills in eggs and omelets, pancakes and waffles, hot sandwiches, and other classic quality diner foods.
Excellent communication, time-management, and team-minded attitude required. Seeking someone with a strong focus on running an immaculately clean kitchen and making every bite as delicious and well-presented as it can be. Ideal candidate will have a strong interest in learning new skills and helping our store and our team improve every day. Most of our staff has been here for many years and we hope you will want to stay for long time too. This is a pleasant workplace with many regular customers and excellent quality food. We are making improvements to the decor this year and look forward to many years of success with a long-term team who can grow with the company.
Preference for availability any days of the week as we set up your regular schedule (we are open 6am to 6pm, 7 days a week, with two shifts.) Must have permission to work in the US. Starting pay is $18/hr to start; pay review in six months with possibility of raise based on performance.
