Temakase is NYC’s fast-premium hand roll bar — our name is a play on temaki and omakase. We deliver chef-led, counter-style dining with made-to-order hand rolls in seconds, giving guests a premium sushi experience at a fraction of the omakase price. We are looking for a talented Floor Manager to help lead the team.
The Role:
We’re seeking a hands-on, guest-focused Floor Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, ensure an outstanding customer experience, and support staff on the floor. You’ll work closely with the leadership team to maintain our high service standards and keep things running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Supervise front-of-house team during service
Lead pre-shift meetings and assign staff roles
Maintain guest satisfaction and resolve issues promptly
Support training and onboarding of new team members
Oversee cleanliness, safety, and organization of the dining area
Communicate effectively with kitchen and management teams
Requirements:
Previous restaurant or hospitality supervisory experience (1–2 years) preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Flexible schedule (evenings & weekends required)
Passion for food and creating memorable guest experiences
Compensation:
$22/hour
