Bakery Runner – Mia’s Bakery (NYC)

Position Overview:
We’re seeking a Full-Time Cake Runner to manage the fast, accurate flow of cakes between the kitchen, front showcase, and customer pickup areas. This role is physically demanding and requires excellent organization, attention to detail, and communication with the front and back of house.
Responsibilities:
Transport finished cakes and pastries from kitchen to showcase and pickup areas safely and quickly
Verify cake labels, inscriptions, and customer order details before display or handoff
Communicate with kitchen staff, counter team, and delivery personnel to coordinate timing
Keep all display and storage areas clean, organized, and fully stocked
Assist with packaging and preparation of orders during peak hours
Support restocking and rotation (FIFO method) as needed
Requirements:
Previous experience in a bakery, café, or fast-paced food service preferred
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and move quickly for extended periods
High attention to detail and time management
Team-oriented, reliable, and punctual
Clear communication skills; bilingual a plus
