Gage and Tollner and Sunken Harbor Club: PR and Floor Relations Manager

Our new PR/Floor relations manager will be a vital hybrid position that will uphold our longstanding tradition by overseeing every aspect of floor service at Gage & Tollner. In addition, as a PR Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication plans to enhance the restaurant's brand image, attract customers, and maintain positive relationships with the media and community.

Floor Management - 3 Days

Our PR/Floor Relations Manager will be a manager-on-duty (MOD) in the dining room and bars during regular service. As an MOD this will include:

Ensure excellent maintenance and cleanliness of the dining room at all times

Organize and complete the administrative set up and break down of service Maintain effective and timely communication to all FOH/BOH and team members

Maintain positive working relationships with kitchen leaders and line staff throughout service periods

Ensure excellent service and hospitality is provided for all guests, community, vendors, and investors

Provide support to all service staff and actively participate in the cycle of service as needed

Cultivate regulars and continue to find ways to strengthen the Gage & Tollner community

Public Relations Manager - 2 Days

Our PR/Floor Relations Manager will also have a dedicated 2 days out of the week to focus on Public Relations:

Developing PR Strategies: Create comprehensive PR strategies aligned with the restaurant's goals and brand identity.

Media Relations: Pitch announcements to local and national media. Manage inbound press inquiries. Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, and media outlets. Pitch story ideas, coordinate interviews and press coverage,

Crisis Management: Develop crisis communication plans and protocols to address any negative publicity, incidents, or reputation issues promptly and effectively. Act as the primary spokesperson for the restaurant and manage communication with the partners.

Social Media Management: Submit SHC and G&T for annual Best Of lists and awards opportunities. Manage content calendar, Promote key happenings via all social channels. (new dishes,closings, special events, etc.)Monitor online conversations, engage with followers,

Website management: Maintain Google Business pages (Gage & Tollner + Sunken Harbor Club). Update hours & closures as needed. Flag inappropriate images. Add/update Business Images.
