The Hills, a modern American restaurant serving creative seasonal cuisine, is seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager to help lead our journey toward becoming an award-winning fine dining destination in Queens. Our vision is to create a restaurant with the highest standards of hospitality, with the ultimate goal of achieving a Michelin star within our first two years.
We are looking for a smart, self-motivated, and charismatic leader who is not only passionate about hospitality but also deeply appreciates French cuisine and values our relationships with local farmers. Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day operations, ensuring flawless service with precision and professionalism.
Cultivate a warm, welcoming atmosphere for guests while maintaining the beauty and theatrics of fine dining.
Collaborate with the culinary and beverage teams to create an exceptional guest experience.
Train, mentor, and motivate staff, fostering a positive and high-performing work culture.
Maintain a strong knowledge of wine, cocktails, and French cuisine to enhance the dining experience.
Ensure organizational excellence in all aspects of the restaurant, from front-of-house service to staff management.
Help us work toward our goal of becoming a Michelin-starred restaurant.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a General Manager, Assistant GM, or similar leadership role in fine dining.
Strong background in French cuisine and an appreciation for local farmers and seasonal ingredients.
Knowledge of wine and cocktails, with a passion for hospitality and attention to detail.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to inspire, motivate, and hold the team to the highest standards of service.
A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fine dining setting.
