Grand Army Bar is a celebrated neighborhood cocktail bar and restaurant in Boerum Hill. Our kitchen, led by Executive Chef Patrick McLaughlin, focuses on seasonality and seafood.
We're looking for a strong Oyster Shucker to join our BOH team. Individuals must have relevant experience and be willing to contribute to the culture we're trying to build; one in which our confidence and professionalism lets us enjoy our time together day in and day out. This is a kitchen marked by mutual respect, hard work, and fun. Collaboration and good working relationships are just as important to us as our food. We value our employees and their quality of life. Requirements:
2-3 years minimum as an Oyster shucker
NYC DOH food handlers certified
Open-minded and flexible, enjoys collaboration
Self-driven and curious. Being proactive is a must, as is the ability to maturely receive feedback and directions
Ambitious, long-term goals in the industry
Integrity. Just do the right thing.
Strong work ethic, strong sense of urgency, and responsibility; ability to maintain excellence in a fast-paced environment

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($22.00 - $24.00)
