Job Description: Leonard's Palazzo, a premier event venue, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Handyman to join our team. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of our venue by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various equipment and systems. As the Evening Mechanic, you will support evening and weekend events, ensuring all machinery and facilities are fully functional to provide our guests with an exceptional experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general facility equipment.
Conduct scheduled inspections of mechanical systems to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff, addressing equipment failures or necessary adjustments during events.
Collaborate with event coordinators and other staff to ensure all systems are operational and meet safety standards before and during events.
Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies required for repairs, and ensure all items are stored securely.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for staff and guests.
Complete and document all maintenance and repair activities for future reference.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
Proven experience as a mechanic or maintenance technician, preferably in an events or hospitality setting.
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general facility maintenance.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical systems quickly and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing a safe environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and event staff.
Availability to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends as required.
