Position Summary:
As our Head Chef, you’ll oversee all culinary operations — from menu development to team management — ensuring the highest standards of Italian cuisine are consistently delivered. We are seeking someone with a strong culinary background in Italian food, leadership experience, and a passion for authentic, high-quality cooking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day kitchen operations with a hands-on approach
- Develop and execute seasonal menus with a focus on regional Italian dishes
- Manage inventory, food cost, and supplier relationships
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portioning
- Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff
- Maintain all sanitation and safety standards in accordance with NYC DOH regulations
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Italian cuisine; at least 2 years in a head or executive chef role
- Deep knowledge of traditional Italian ingredients and cooking methods
- Experience managing a team in a high-volume, upscale restaurant
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- NYC Food Protection Certificate (preferred)
