Kings Kolache is hiring! We're looking for a part-time Morning Baker to join our team in Bushwick! We're looking for positive folks who have a passion for authentic food, enjoy experimenting with new dishes and techniques, have experience in NYC kitchens/coffee shops and appreciate Willie Nelson as a person and spiritual guide. Bakery specializes in breakfast tacos and Texas pastries.
Baker: 2-4 shifts per wk
- At least 1 year of baking experience (preferably in the five boroughs of NYC), familiar with proofing, mixing and benchwork
- Genuinely enjoy introducing new foods and experiences to the community
- Be able to Lift 50+ pounds, stand and/or bend for extended periods of time to perform essential job functions.
- Able to meet all safety and sanitation standards.
- Experience with early mornings
- Patience with rising dough
- Some weekend availability
- Proficient in food safety and handling
- NYC DOH Food Handler’s License not required but a big plus
