Established cocktail bar and restaurant is seeking a part time floor manager with at least 4 years of NYC restaurant experience. Preferably in both Nightlife and Fine Dining.
Our ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality, is confident managing and leading a staff, and comfortable building a rapport with guests.
- Must be able to work late nights and long hours.
- Must be willing and able to perform closing duties (4AM)
- Preferably has experience in various positions of restaurant staff.
- A polished floor presence, professional demeanor and appearance.
- Attention to detail as well as a sense of urgency.
- Ability to maintain composure and thrives in a high volume, high intensity environment.
-Possess strong organizational and leadership skills
Job duties include:
- Being the lead authority during service, managing FOH staff, kitchen, security and door staff.
- Managing reservations throughout service, greeting and seating tables. Following up with guests throughout their experience.
- Train and oversee staff, setting short and long term goals to improve service.
- Conduct disciplinary actions as needed.
- Maintain a good working environment. A place where all staff and guests can expect a safe, comfortable, and clean workplace.
- Assist as needed throughout service in whatever capacity is needed. Accepting that during service no job is above or below the Floor Manager's duties.
- This is a fast-paced job requiring managers to be on their feet for long stretches of time, work late nights and long hours.
