We are hiring an experienced barista for Commune’s Coffee Cart located at the border of Bed-Stuy and Clinton Hill.
We are a membership based social club, event venue and incubator for a diverse collective of creatives. Our vision is to hold space for our network of creatives to share resources in a collaborative and supportive creative environment. Membership is contingent upon a commitment to a superior quality of content, art and experiences.
Our Brooklyn headquarters is a modular multi-level co-working and venue space supported by our Food, Beverage, and Retail ventures. During the hours of the Coffee Cart, the co-working space is open exclusively for our membership of creatives, artists and freelancers. In the evenings, we have a Wine Bar & Garden where we curate a calendar of weekly food pop-ups, film screenings, performances, public and private events, etc.
The Commune Coffee Cart, our debut speciality coffee venture, launched in May 2022 outside the BedStuy headquarters. Inspired by the iconic New York City cart, the Coffee Cart pays homage to New Yorkers’ love of coffee. We work exclusively with Coava Coffee, an award winning roaster based in Portland, as their sole purveyor in the New York metro area.
Individuals must have a passion for coffee and a genuine spirit of hospitality
Individuals must have experience on a manual machine, latte art skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure of a high volume service establishment
Individuals must have a valid NYC food handler’s license with at least 1 year of specialty coffee experience preferred
