Our team is looking for a FOH Manager to round out our team of highly motivated professionals. High volume floor managing experience is REQUIRED. We have been open in our new location for almost 2 years, and we are off to a great start with plenty of room to grow. Must be available to work nights and weekends. SATURDAY AND SUNDAY AVAILABILITY IS A MUST.
This is a great position for someone looking to grow and learn multiple aspects of running a large bar/restaurant. THIS POSITION HAS THE POTENTIAL FOR GROWTH.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for an energetic individual that leads with integrity, professionalism & tact. It is our responsibility to the rest of the team to bring on someone who can handle all of the amazing & chaotic events associated with a high volume, new establishment. Punctuality is a must.
Specific Duties & Core Competencies Include:
- Maintaining the standards and integrity of the bar’s SOPs during your shifts including, but not limited to:
I) Communicate effectively with team members, management & ownership
II) Ability to open &/or close the business efficiently and accurately-including cash handling, following checklists and walkthroughs, setting up parties and reservations, troubleshooting and problem solving issues, receiving deliveries.
III) Maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the premises with a keen attention for detail
IV) Maintain a safe & harassment free environment for guests and staff
V) Effectively lead a team during peak business hours and slower business hours
VI) Monitoring labor costs and effectively adjusting staffing
VII) Understanding the value of quality treatment for the bar’s regular clientele while also nurturing a welcoming & fun environment for new guests
VIII) Remaining composed during otherwise compromised scenarios
IX) Have an intrinsic positive attitude
X) Maintain a high level of emotional intelligence to approach each matter sensitively and pragmatically
- Maintaining the DOH ‘A’ at all times
- Participate in weekly management meetings
- Have a firm understanding of P&Ls, Cost Control, Inventory
- Ability to navigate various social media platforms such as instagram, tiktok, & facebook
Minimal Requirements:
- Bartending experience needed
- Two years managing in a NYC fast-paced, high-volume eating & drinking establishment
- Have night, weekend & holiday availability
- Ability to navigate Microsoft Office (Excel) Google & Restaurant Point-Of-Sale platforms
- Have a firm understanding of the impact of appropriate ambiance
- DOH Food Handlers Certified
- Up-To-Date NYC Harassment Free Certificate
Preferential Experience:
- Kitchen Management
-FLUENCY IN SPANISH IS A BIG PLUS
-KNOWLEDGE AND PASSION FOR BEER, WINE, AND SPIRITS
-Experience ordering dry goods, beer, liquor, and food
-HIGH VOLUME, CROWD CONTROL, LINE MANAGEMENT experience is a BIG PLUS
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000-$85,000 starting, depending on experience. We have a very robust and attainable metrics based bonus compensation for our management team. Additional bennefits available as well. Paid time off, commuter bennefits, health, dental, and vision bennefits, complimentary manager meals while working.
