Sycamore Bar + Flower Shop, a popular local bar in Ditmas Park, is looking for an experienced manager for the busy bar who is professional with strong leadership skills, very familiar with the industry, a team player who is down-to-earth while capable of wearing many hats with positive energy and efficiency.
Responsibilities include Overseeing:
HR/Staff Management including training, schedules, coverage, and hiring/terminationetc
Inventory and ordering
Curate beverage program including seasonal cocktails and beverage offerings
Customer Relations/Guest Services and Manage email accounts
Private Events Bookings – Rent-outs
Marketing including management of Social Media and Website
Manage Event Hosts and DJs as part of Sycamore events and DJ programs
Day to Day Operations / Facility Maintenance Management – Regular maintenance checks, assess if any repairs/maintenance needed onsite and with equipment
Run a tight ship of top-notch staff, keeping everything clean, neat and organized
3 bartender shifts
Weekly and regular strategic meetings with ownership
Flexible in tailoring to the needs and success of the business
REQUIREMENTS:
-Must be available full-time including weekends.
-Food handlers license required.
-2 years high volume bar / restaurant management experience with strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and craft cocktails (classic and contemporary)
-Strong bartending skills (at least 3 years bartending in a busy, high-volume bar)
-Very familiar with POS systems
-Own Labtop with regular usage of excel, word, squarespace (website), Canva (posters), Instagram, emails, etc.
-Excellent communication and writing skills
-Familiar with Dept of Health / FDNY rules and regulations, staying informed and adhering to all safety and sanitation regulations.
-Strong Attention to Detail
-Hospitality Industry focused / maintain excellent relationships with customers, vendors and the community
-Prioritize teamwork and cultivate a collaborative work/staff culture
-Lead by example with solid work ethic and integrity holding staff to a high standard
-Thrive in a fast-paced environment making good, sound judgements
