Position Overview
Manhasset Cinema is seeking a full-time Theater Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and play a key role in our revitalization. The ideal candidate is hands-on, customer-focused, and excited to build an entertainment destination where guests come not just for movies, but for unique cultural experiences.
We are also seeking part-time staff
Responsibilities
-Manage daily theater operations (staff scheduling, box office, concessions, cleaning, maintenance).
-Oversee event logistics for films, live performances, and private rentals.
-Lead, train, and motivate a small staff to deliver excellent customer service.
-Monitor concessions inventory, purchasing, and cost control.
-Ensure building upkeep: climate control, sound/projection systems, and safety compliance.
-Coordinate with ownership on marketing, programming, and community partnerships.
-Handle customer issues with professionalism and focus on retention.
-Maintain financial records: sales reporting, payroll coordination, and vendor payments.
Qualifications
-Prior management experience in hospitality, theaters, live events, or retail strongly preferred.
-Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
-Experience with technology (film, sound systems, production, ticketing systems, scheduling software, POS).
-Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
-Passion for film, live events, and building community experiences.
