Now Hiring: Dishwasher - The Tipsy Baker by Café d’Avignon

Position: Full-Time

Compensation: $17–$19/hr (based on experience)

The Tipsy Baker by Café d’Avignon is looking for a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. This role is essential to keeping our back-of-house operations running smoothly and maintaining the high sanitation standards we are known for. The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment; supporting kitchen organization; and ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and equipment using commercial dish machines or by hand.

Inspect all items to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Maintain dishwashing equipment and report any issues to management.

Organize and store clean items in proper locations.

Keep kitchen and storage areas clean, organized, and safe.

Assist with trash removal, recycling, and waste management.

Support with deliveries and inventory organization.

Collaborate with kitchen and FOH teams to keep service flowing smoothly.

Be flexible and help with additional cleaning or prep tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Prior dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred but not required.

Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.

Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.

Team-oriented with good communication skills.

Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.

Benefits (Full-Time Employees Only)

Health Insurance after 3 months of continuous employment

Sick Time (accrued, up to 40 hours per year)

Holiday Pay (time and a half when scheduled)

Paid Vacation: 1 week after 1 year, 2 weeks after 2 years, 3 weeks after 5 years
