We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual who shares our creative vision and strong work ethic at M&G Foodstuff. As Operations Coordinator, you will assist the Operations Manager in managing the daily operations of our business, ensuring an exceptional product and service experience for our clientele. Your focus will be on supporting and leading the driver team, managing logistics, and maintaining a strong company culture.

The weekly schedule and hours of the Operations Coordinator vary depending on the needs of the business. The position is full-time and requires 36+ hours per week. While there will never be a set daily schedule, a typical schedule could be 9am-6pm Monday through Friday. There are days where the Ops Coordinator is required to be in as early as 5am or stay as late as 7pm-8pm, and there are weeks where the Ops Coordinator is off on a weekday to be able to work one of the weekend days. The ideal candidate MUST be flexible and willing to work with the Ops Manager to see that the needs of the business are met.

Core Tasks and Key Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Operations

- Manage the driver team in production for upcoming deliveries

- Oversee all load-outs and deliveries during regular service

- Provide assistance across all departments as needed

- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the facility

- Deliver and set up client orders as needed

- Troubleshoot delivery-related issues and help provide solutions

- Assist the Ops Manager with setting up for the next day’s service

Management and Leadership

- Under the guidance of the Ops Manager, manage the driver team

- Lead by example and keep the team motivated

- Provide leadership to all drivers and staff according to company standards

- Teach and train new drivers on M&G procedures

- Work as a team to complete all daily tasks

Full-Service Event Duties

- Pack all items needed for events and assist in setting up onsite

- Oversee the return of items from events

- Maintain all event-related supplies and product

- Provide assistance in specialty cocktail R&D and pre-batch cocktails for upcoming events

- Work with event staff when onsite to ensure all items are accounted for

Administrative Work

- Inventory management of all supplies

- Place orders for and manage disposables, beverages, etc. as needed

- Oversee the completion of weekly checklists, such as driver cleaning duties, M&G vehicle reports, etc.

- Maintain the M&G vehicle fleet by performing weekly checks and scheduling maintenance as needed

- Assist the Ops Manager in creating driver delivery routes for the next day

Job Requirements and Qualifications

- 1-2+ years operations experience in a hospitality or catering setting preferred

- 1+ years driving/delivery experience preferred

- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate cargo vans and box trucks

- Must provide a recent driving record/abstract with no major accidents

- Must have a strong knowledge of NYC burroughs

- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs

- Must demonstrate computer literacy through the use of G-Suite and Microsoft Office software

- If hired, you will be required to complete the 6-Hour Point & Insurance Reduction Program (PIRP) through the American Safety Institute within one month of hiring if you have not already done so

- English fluency required; Spanish preferred
