The Gutter is looking for an energetic and motivated part time floor manager. You will help maintain the bowling lane machines, create a great customer experience, and make sure our floor staff has what it needs to be excellent. Mechanical aptitude is a must, and our in-house licensed mechanic will provide lane training.
We need a hands-on, great communicator who can manage staff, smile to the guests, and see to the operations of the lanes. The floor manager reports directly to the General Manager. The Gutter is a late night operation that runs until 4 am every night. The Floor Manager is expected to work closing shifts up until approx. 4:30 am.
We have 3 closing shifts available. Must be flexible and available to work late nights and weekends. Hiring immediately.

The Gutter Bar was founded in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 2007 with 8 vintage bowling lanes, a small music venue, and a focus on American independent craft beer. Since then we opened our second location in Long Island City, Queens in 2017, and in 2020 the third and largest location opened on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Opening and closing the bar and event space
- Overseeing all FOH positions while on shift
- Overseeing all money on shift
- Communicating issues with upper management
- In house inventory assessment
- Seeing to the needs of customers and employees on shift
- Performing duties of employees on floor if needed
- Follow and maintain DOH standards and procedures
- Create a positive working environment for all employees
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive guest service and resolution skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends and holidays
- Must be able to demonstrate integrity, tact, diplomacy and a commitment to company values
- Must be able to work under pressure
- NYC Food Handler Certification required
- Knowledge of cash register and cash handling, Google Suite, Microsoft Excel and other programs a plus
- Fluency in other languages a plus
- Bowling experience a plus
