About the Role
We are seeking talented and passionate Personal Chefs to join ChefShare on a contract basis. This role is perfect for culinary professionals who thrive on creating delicious, customized meals and enjoy the flexibility of setting their own schedule. As a Personal Chef, you’ll be matched with clients for weekly meal prep or private events.
Responsibilities
1. Weekly Meal Prep: Visit clients' homes for approximately 4-5 hours to prepare a week’s worth of customized meals based on their preferences and dietary needs.
2. Private Events: Provide culinary services for special occasions, such as dinner parties or celebrations, as requested by clients.
3. Schedule Management: Set your availability, with most bookings occurring on Sundays, Mondays, or Tuesdays.
4. Professional Clean-Up: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, leaving the client’s kitchen spotless after meal prep.
Key Details
Compensation: Payment is made per booking, ensuring you’re paid for each client engagement.
Independent Contract Role: This is a contract position, giving you the freedom to work with multiple clients while showcasing your culinary expertise.
Requirements
- Must have a degree or certification from a recognized culinary school OR relevant experience
- At least 2 years of professional cooking experience
- Ability to prepare a variety of cuisines with a strong emphasis on healthy, balanced meals.
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation, portioning, and packaging for weekly consumption.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with clients and understand their needs.
- Access to reliable transportation for in-home meal preparation.
- Passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences.
