Small Cafe/Wine Bar in Crown Heights, Brooklyn is looking for an experienced barista to join our crew for a p/t role 15hrs /week
You must be passionate about coffee and wine and providing great customer service in a building team environment. Must be a team player and be able to integrate into the current dynamic.
Must already have experience as a barista.

Responsibilities
Greet customers as they enter
Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
Prepare beverages following recipes
Take initiative
Ability to work independently and think outside the box
Keep the area clean
Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
Skills
2+ years of experience as a barista in specialty coffee.
Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, espresso extraction, and latte art.
Passionate about coffee and eager to share knowledge with guests and teammates.
Basic experience as a bartender or with wine
Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
Some working knowledge of wines
Knowledge of sanitation regulations
Flexibility to work various shifts
Basic math skills
Ability to gauge customers’ preferences
Excellent communication skills
Relevant training is a plus
Should be able to provide references on request.
