Job Summary:

The Restaurant General Manager will support the Operations Assistant Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and exceptional guest satisfaction. This role demands a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of restaurant management and a passion for hospitality.

Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

- Assist the Operations Assistant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.

- Monitor and maintain quality standards for food preparation, service, and cleanliness.

- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

- Manage inventory levels and place orders as needed.

- Assist in the opening and closing procedures of the restaurant

Team Leadership:

- Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising staff.

- Create and maintain staff schedules.

- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members.

- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

- Address employee issues and disputes in a timely and professional manner.

Guest Experience:

- Ensure exceptional guest service and resolve customer complaints promptly.

- Monitor guest feedback and implement strategies to improve satisfaction.

- Maintain a strong presence on the restaurant floor, interacting with guests and staff.

Financial Management:

- Assist in managing budgets and controlling costs.

- Monitor sales and revenue, and implement strategies to increase profitability.

- Handle cash management and ensure accurate financial transactions.

- Analyzing store sales performance, labor statistics, controllable data for recommendations on store performance improvements for improved P&L

- Assist with payroll tasks.

Administrative Duties:

- Complete administrative task assigned by the Operations Assistant Manager.

- Maintain accurate records and reports.

- Once a week visits to HQ to discuss analysis data with the COO & Operations Assistant Manager.

Qualifications:

- 5 years or more experience in a full-service restaurant management role, preferably in Japanese and/or Ramen setting.

- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.

- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including food service, sanitation, and safety.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

- Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Must have Food Handler's Card

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Experience with inventory management and cost control.

- Experience with scheduling & payroll processing.
