Seeking BARISTA in Greenpoint (beer/wine a plus!) We also have the opportunity for serving in our other location.
Our Restaurant Group has both an upscale cafe and a restaurant (located in Greenpoint & Williamsburg). We are seeking a barista to join our team. Serving and bartending knowledge is a plus as crossover in each of our locations is a possibility if you are interested.

We're looking for team members with great personalities and positive energy. We are a small team and take pride in our craft. Seeking a Part-Time Barista to prepare and serve beverages, food items, and tend to daily prep-work and tasks. We feel strongly about creating a neighborhood friendly space. Knowledge of beer and wine is a plus.
Must:
Have excellent customer skills and provide above and beyond service.
Help create a positive and fun work environment.
Weekends mandatory. Be flexible to work various shifts.
Have knowledge of how brewing equipment and grinders operate.
Passionate about coffee and take pride in your craft.
Be comfortable in the kitchen as you will also be preparing breakfast sandwiches, bagels and our small food menu.
Have NYC Food Handlers certificate.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter.
- Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
- Prepare beverages and food items following recipes. Consistency is key
- Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
- Keep the work station and all areas of the cafe clean and tidy
- Build rapport with regular customers
- Recommend ideas, new menu items and ways to make us better
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work both alone and with a team
- Strictly follow all opening and closing procedures
- Maintain stock levels & help with inventory
- Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Communicate customer feedback to managers
Skills:
- Previous work experience as a Barista
- Latte art experience a plus
- Bartending and serving experience a plus
- Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations
- Ability to gauge customers’ preferences
- Excellent communication skills
- Square POS knowledge a plus
