Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu with confidence and knowledge.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
Deliver food and drinks promptly and professionally.
Provide recommendations, upsell specials, and pairings that reflect Safta’s cuisine.
Ensure tables are set, clean, and maintained throughout service.
Handle guest concerns with professionalism and escalate issues to management when necessary.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Setup Bar prior to open
Qualifications
Prior serving and bartending experience in a full-service or upscale restaurant preferred.
Multitasking and Time Management –
Bartenders must handle multiple drink orders, chat with guests, restock supplies, and keep the bar clean — all at once
Drink Knowledge & Accuracy –
Knowing recipes, portions, and proper techniques (mixing, shaking, pouring, garnishing) ensures consistent quality and compliance with alcohol laws.
Strong knowledge of food and beverage service.
Excellent communication and hospitality skills.
Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
Positive attitude and team-oriented approach.
NYC Food Handler’s License a plus (or willingness to obtain).
