THE ROLE
This is a hands on production + leadership position. You will be in the kitchen executing high volume prep and detailed hors d’oeuvres while also helping run the flow: prep lists, standards, team training, organization, and event readiness.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Execute high volume prep lists with speed, consistency, and attention to detail
Hands on prep of detailed hors d’oeuvres and elevated presentation
Maintain strict standards: tasting/seasoning, portioning, plating, cleanliness, and consistency
Train and support kitchen + event staff (pacing, systems, accountability, positive culture)
Inventory + ordering to keep the kitchen stocked and organized without waste
Enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards (DOH ready at all times)
Organize pack outs, labeling, storage, and timing for events
Use basic computer tools for prep lists, ordering, and communication
REQUIREMENTS
NYC Department of Health Food Protection Certificate (required)
2+ years experience in a fast paced restaurant and/or catering environment (high volume is a must)
Strong sense of urgency — you move fast and stay sharp
Highly organized: lists, labels, par levels, clean stations, and clean pack outs

COMPENSATION
$30-35 Hourly (OT eligible). Rate based on experience and leadership level.
