We are a looking for a hardworking candidate, who is passionate about making sushi and willing to learn. This is a great opportunity to gain more experience.
Compensation based on experience.
Requirements:
2 years minimum of New York restaurant experience/Sushi Chef experience
Have a strong skill for butchering multiple different fish and shellfish, preparing ingredients, strong essential ingredients related to sushi.
Must have knowledge of Japanese cooking technique (knife skills) and traditional ingredients
Able to maintain great attention to detail in a fast paced environment
Maintaining all sushi bar station work areas, to remain clean and organized at all times
This individual must be consistent under pressure
Communicating with wait staff to ensure special requests and food allergy considerations are met.
Must have open availability & be available to work weekends and holidays
