We are a busy kosher sushi restaurant located in Great Neck, NY, looking for a dependable and skilled Sushi Prep & Roll Staff member to join our team.
Work Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM (1-hour break from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM)
Friday: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Saturday: Starting 2 hours after sunset until 11:30 PM
Sunday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Tuesday: Closed
Pay: $18–$25 per hour (based on experience, determined after interview)
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with general kitchen prep (cutting vegetables, preparing sauces, setting up ingredients)
Make basic sushi rolls as needed
Keep prep and sushi stations clean and well organized
Handle ingredients carefully and maintain freshness
Work well with other staff and communicate effectively
Follow kosher kitchen rules and guidelines (training provided)
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a sushi restaurant (roll experience required)
Ability to prepare basic sushi rolls
Solid prep skills and understanding of food safety
Good attitude, teamwork, and reliability
Must be willing to follow kosher food preparation guidelines
