Position Overview:

As a Floor Manager at The Hudson, you will be an integral part of our front-of-house team, ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant during service hours. You will be responsible for overseeing the dining area, managing staff, and ensuring that guests receive exceptional service from the moment they walk through the door until they depart. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for hospitality.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of floor staff to ensure efficient operation during service hours.

Train, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards.

Assist in creating and maintaining a positive work environment conducive to teamwork and collaboration.

Monitor the dining area to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.

Oversee reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and maximize revenue.

Handle any escalated situations with diplomacy and professionalism, seeking resolution in a timely manner.

Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling costs to meet budgetary goals.

Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth communication and coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment.

Excellent leadership abilities with a track record of motivating and developing teams.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.

Knowledge of restaurant operations, including service standards, food and beverage preparation, and health and safety regulations.

Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Certification in food safety and sanitation is a plus.
