Sous Chef

Position Overview
We are seeking a Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a deep understanding of Cuban / American Cuisine exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead by example in a high-end, fast-paced kitchen. This is a hands-on role that combines creativity, consistency, and mentorship.
Responsibilities
Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations and service
Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency
Execute and refine dishes according to Tico's recipes, plating standards, and seasonal menus
Manage mise en place, prep, and ordering for assigned stations
Ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety standards
Support menu development, specials, and new dish testing
Oversee communication and coordination between stations during service
Uphold a professional, collaborative, and positive kitchen culture
Must have Food handlers licence

Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of professional kitchen experience, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role (Sous Chef, Jr. Sous, or Chef de Partie)
Background in fine dining cuisine a plus
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to lead calmly and effectively under pressure
Reliable, detail-oriented, and driven by excellence
A genuine passion for Cooking

Line Cook

We are looking for a skilled and reliable line cook with 2-3 years NYC or Fine Dining Kitchen experience
Requirements:
- Must have experience cooking breakfasts and lunches
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Prompt and reliable, shows up at their scheduled shift
- Organized, energetic, and a team player
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Weekend availability required
Must Have Food Handlers Certificate

Must be
- Proficient in espresso based drinks
- Have a strong work ethic
- Be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Good communication skills with co-workers and customers
- Self motivated and dependable
- Work neatly and organized.
- Experience with Latte Art is a plus
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
-Knowledge of Cuban Coffee and Cuban Coffee Culture and cuisine is a plus
-Bilingual (Spanish & English) is a plus
