Floor Manager @ Torch & Crown Brewing Company
This is a wonderful opportunity for a rockstar hospitality manager to join our team. We are seeking a detail-oriented restaurant professional. This role will be primarily responsible for overseeing service day-to-day at one of our Manhattan properties.
Responsibilities: (include, but are not limited to)
Cultivate a culture of authentic hospitality that supports our business objectives and growth.
Learn and be able to execute general daily operations at both current locations.
Train on all general event execution, service standards, and staff supervision requirements across the restaurant division
Learn the details of our brewing process, brand evolution/identity, retail/wholesale department.
Participate in pre-shifts and continuing education for all staff. Provide staff resources for events and general training.
Ensure all invoices are uploaded accurately or sent to the correct department.
Work the service floor daily in the restaurant & bar, while leading staff performance and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Maintain excellence, cleanliness, and organization of all restaurant spaces, facilities, and property interiors/exteriors.
Foster a positive working relationship with managers and hourly staff throughout service periods, ensuring effective and timely communication. Remain current and compliant with the correct HR practices and policies.
Hold employees accountable to all standards and practices, evaluating and/or following disciplinary procedure when necessary.
Ensure Health Department compliance for all restaurant spaces; including obtaining a DOH Food Handler’s Card within 90 days of employment.
Provide feedback and guidance with excellence and hospitality in mind, ensuring that all team members have a pathway for growth and development.
Work both opening and closing shifts as needed.
Consistently look for internal and external candidates to build our growing team.
Assist the company with management efforts at all properties according to business demands or unforeseen circumstances.
Qualifications:
An innate love of hospitality
2+ years of floor manager OR event manager experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment of restaurants, hotels, bars, or breweries.
Experience with & understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).
Knowledge of Toast POS is a plus.
Knowledge of hospitality systems and processes and an ability to find the simplest solution to complex problems.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong analytical and organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail.
A passion for craft beer (preferred).

Meticulous and organized
What we’re offering:
Annual compensation range of $70,000 - $75,000 commensurate with experience.
Potential bonus and/or commission structure established for the right candidate after 90 days.
