Miles, The Prince is seeking dedicated cooks who want to continue building on their skills. We are looking for cooks to join our team and create a creative, approachable and upscale experience for our guests.
A primary goal of Miles, The Prince is to challenge the traditional perception of where beer belongs during a night out and elevate the guests' understanding of the beverage. A seasonal, chef-driven menu aims to be creative and thoughtfully executed alongside warm and welcoming service. The beers brewed on-site will mainly focus on the farmhouse styles such as Saison, Bièr de Garde and Sahti, but we will not limit ourselves as long as there is harmony between the food and beer.
Line Cook Responsibilities include:
Serve as a key member of a talented and diverse culinary team and, preparing and executing the menu at the direction of Chefs with utmost quality and precision
Learn and handle the various stations (Garde manger, grill, sauté, pastry), which includes preparing and cleaning stations properly, stocking stations adequately for service, and communicating actively with Chefs and colleagues to facilitate smooth and efficient kitchen
Work in a fast paced kitchen and work environment while be able to handle rigors of busy services while maintaining quality and consistency
Support other areas of the kitchen as needed, and be able and willing to assist teammates in the kitchen as needed, including handling duties of other stations
Maintain clean workstation and adhere to all health and safety standards
Line Cook Requirements include:
At least 1 year of relevant restaurant or culinary experience preferred
Strong willingness and ability to work as part of a cohesive team and to support colleagues regardless of role
Ability to take direction from Chefs, embrace change, learn and adapt to new systems, service steps, and health and cleaning procedures
Physical requirements include: the ability to lift and carry items up to fifty pounds, to stand, walk up and downstairs, for an extended period of time.
Food handlers license preferred.
