Cheese is amazing, and our company is not just called The World’s Best Cheeses, but we just so happen to have The World’s Best Cheeses (and chocolates, oils, crackers, charcuterie, etc…) It will be your job to make sure our customers, and their customers are aware, and excited about the many products we offer.

The World’s Best Cheeses has been family owned and operated for nearly 40 years. We import specialty products from over 20 countries and 140 producers.

In this role you will wear many hats. A large portion of your time will be spent working with over 140 of our vendor partners on a regular basis to create annual marketing plans and executing those plans over the course of the year.

Your daily activities will include but not be limited to:

Coordinate annual marketing plans with our 140+ vendors

-Sell ads in monthly marketing flyer (typically 40-80 pages), negotiate advertising fees, arrange promotional discounts to be offered by vendors, and insure our creative team is on top of all deadlines.

-Organize monthly sales person incentives ($10 per new account/$5 per case etc)

-Coordinate on site customer promotions and demos.

Summer (NYC) and Winter Fancy (LAS VEGAS) Food Shows

-Coordinate all details for our 70x20 foot booth

-Plan entire booth layout

-Negotiate fees w. suppliers for shelf space and demo participation

-Arrange flights and lodging for our team

-Oversee onsite labor for electric, installation, cooler rentals, etc

-Arrange for samples to be shipped and merchandised

-Coordinate company party and nightly dinners

World’s Best Holiday Preview and Regional Shows

-Over the course of the year we will have 4-5 regional holiday preview shows. These will feature 100+ of our vendors and be open only to our customers.

-Select venue and manage all rentals and set up

-Reach out to vendors (likely multiple times) to secure participation and customer promotions.

-Negotiate table fees with our vendors to maximize revenue

-Manage all on site logistics

-Work with Creative Dept to producer show marketing materials

-PR outreach

Obtain Food Safety Documents

-The same interpersonal skills that help you arrange promotions with our vendors, will also be put to work making sure all producers submit proper food safety and other important documents in a timely fashion

Keys to success

-Strong organization and follow up skills are essential to this position. You will need to ask multiple times to get results.

-While this is not cold sales (all of our vendors spend most of their time trying to sell us cheese instead) you will need to have excellent sales skills

-Prior experience in event management is a plus.

-Extensive cheese knowledge is not required, however a passion for food will certainly make this position more rewarding.

This is a full time position with generous salary and benefits

-A typical workweek is Monday-Thursday from 8am-5pm and Fridays from 8-4pm.
