+Customer engagement & sales: assist customers, provide expert recommendations and knowledge to customers about wines and spirits
+Purchasing & Inventory management: manage inventory levels, identify product needs (using excel reports), help build out wine & spirits categories, place orders with vendors
+Staff management: Train and mentor staff members to ensure they possess the knowledge and skills needed to deliver outstanding customer service
+Targeted support on strategic projects (e.g., Modern Wine Club launch)
Qualifications:
+Previous experience working in a retail wine store or similar environment, with extensive knowledge of wine varietals, regions, production methods, and pairings
+Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with customers and team members
+Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively manage inventory and ensure store cleanliness and orderliness
+Knowledge of POS systems, basic computer proficiency (including comfort using word docs, spreadsheets, etc.)
Benefits:
+Competitive annual salary, commensurate with experience
+EOY performance-based bonus
+Employee discounts on wine purchases
+Learning and professional development within the wine and hospitality space
Schedule: This is a full-time position, with a regular weekly schedule (4 weekdays + Saturdays) to be determined based on candidate availability
