Long Island Public Relations Firm is looking for enthusiastic, creative and media savvy associates to join our team to support a variety of high-profile clients within government, banking, hospitality, health industries. Previous PR agency work experience necessary,
Public relations experience such as media pitching, drafting press materials, event planning, social media management and is important.
We are recognized as one of the top independent public relations agencies on Long Island. candidates must have media placement history. Use of cision is important. Excellent writing skills.
Responsibilities Include:
, write press materials such as news releases, media alerts, etc.
Build media lists
Pitch various media outlets across broadcast, online and print outlets
Organize and prepare media kits
Assist with idea generation and development of news stories, articles, presentations, talking points, videos, social media, etc.
Aid in updating websites and social media sites - as needed
targeting media coverage and drafting comprehensive reports for clients
Requirements:
Experience in writing for PR and/or news writing
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge and ability to use social media networks such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc. comfortably
Must have worked in PR. Agency or Press Secretary for government.
