Responsibilities
- Identify and research effective methods of contact for specified elected politicians and community groups in designated target areas
- Make phone calls and send emails to elected officials and community groups to garner support for specified cause
- Assist with proofreading and editing documents to ensure accuracy and clarity
- Support government relations efforts by drafting outreach emails
- Manage social media platforms to enhance brand visibility
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Skills
- Strong writing skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge or interest in journalism, government relations, or related fields
- Ability to edit content for grammar, style, and consistency
- Proficiency in social media management tools
- Excellent verbal communication skills for public speaking engagements
- Ability to track progress of an outreach campaign and follow up as neccessary
