Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday (Dental assisting Monday–Tuesday; Administrative support Wednesday–Friday)
Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Dental & Administrative Assistant to join our team. This hybrid position offers the best of both worlds — hands-on clinical experience assisting our dentist early in the week, and professional administrative work supporting the owner and management team later in the week.
The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and adaptable, with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
Responsibilities:
Dental Assisting (Monday–Tuesday)
- Assist the dentist during clinical procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Experience with medical documentation practices to ensure accurate patient records.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up materials.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control measures within a dental clinic setting.
- Perform four-handed dentistry and support various restorative and preventive procedures.
- Take and process X-rays and intraoral scans as needed. Familiarity with 3D scanning technology (Dexis, iTero) is preferred.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment instructions.
- Adhere to all infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Provide compassionate care to patients of all ages.
Administrative Support (Wednesday–Friday)
- Manage the manager’s calendar, coordinate meetings, and handle scheduling requests.
- Assist with billing, accounts receivable, and light bookkeeping tasks.
- Communicate professionally with patients, vendors, and partners via phone and email.
- Help organize files, track payments, and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding accounts.
- Support general office operations and maintain an organized administrative workflow.
- Handle special projects and other duties as assigned by the owner.
- Plan, create, and schedule content to support brand messaging across all social media platforms.
Qualifications & Skills
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant (1+ year required).
- Familiarity with dental terminology, sterilization procedures, and chairside techniques.
- Knowledge of dental software (Oryx, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar) a plus.
- Basic understanding of billing, scheduling, or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools.
- Knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) and content creation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities throughout the week.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude and professional demeanor.
