Experienced Dental Hygienist
Our busy Multi-Specialty Dental Practice is looking for the perfect candidate for a part time position as a Dental Hygienist.
Job responsibilities
Collect detailed Medical and Dental Histories from the patients.
Set up Operatories for patients, adhering to appropriate office and OSHA protocols.
Instruct patients of all ages about proper dental hygiene and care
Maintain and clean all instruments after every patient, instrument sharpening and adhering to appropriate sterilization techniques.
Must be able to take a Full series of Diagnostic X rays using Dexis Digital Imaging software
Clean stains and deposits from teeth and under the gums and perform dental prophylaxis.
Screen patients for periodontal disease as well as oral cancer
Be able to thoroughly examine teeth and gums, periodontal examination and pocket depth measurements
Be able to perform Complete Full Mouth Debridement, proficient at Scaling and Root Planing
Must be familiar with Dentrix, able to chart and maintain proper and accurate documentation
Must be proficient in handling Medical and Dental emergencies, have appropriate CPR certification
Educate patients about the importance of better oral hygiene, treatment of carious lesion and identifying malocclusion.

Job Qualifications
Required
State license for Dental hygienists
Must have at least 2 years prior work experience at a dental office
Great interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
CPR certification
Spanish speaking is a bonus
