Enthusiastic, Holistic, Compassionate Nurse Practitioner Needed, New York, NY
A full-time nurse practitioner is needed at an established private practice. We seek a nurse practitioner who believes in caring for the whole person with neurologic and geriatric issues, with a special interest in brain health and community-based care. If you are a versatile person with an award-winning attitude, tremendous compassion, excellent work ethic, and a real zeal for promoting neurologic wellness, this is the job for you. You will have the opportunity to be involved in meaningful clinical research benefiting both the at-risk individual and society at large. Our treatments and procedures include intravenous treatment, lumbar punctures, electroencephalograms, otolith maneuvers for vertigo, transcranial dopplers, home visits, neurocognitive assessments, botulinum injections, and cognitive exercises.
Qualifications:
Active New York State License
Eligible for Employment in the US.
We will train in all procedures.
Although experience in a clinical setting is preferred, new graduates are welcome.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team and take direction.
Strong clinical skills, including physical examination and diagnostic reasoning.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

$140,000 -$190,000 commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:
See 5-10 patients per day.
Involvement in clinical research.
Will train in all procedures.
Create a rapport with patients and provide an exemplary visit experience.
Conduct thorough neurological evaluations and mental status assessments.
Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests.
Develop and implement effective treatment plans for a wide range of neurological disorders, including migraines, dementias, and other neurologic conditions.
Conduct risk assessments and develop management strategies for brain health and preventive neurology visits.
Prescribe medications, recommend therapeutic interventions, and provide patient education on managing their condition.
Communicate effectively with patients and families, explaining diagnosis, treatment options, and prognoses in a clear and compassionate manner.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, particularly primary care physicians, to ensure coordinated care for patients.
Stay current with advancement through continuing medical education.
