Our client, a nonprofit healthcare company, is seeking a qualified candidate with experience doing clerical work in the healthcare industry to fill an open role in their customer service representative department.
This is a temporary job that starts ASAP and last 3-6 months.
$21 per hour
Hours: 8am-4pm
Primary Position responsibilities:
· Enters patient referral information into the All-Scripts system including patient demographics, diagnosis, and plan of care relays information to Data Management Coordinator for insurance verification.
· Answers, screens, and handles incoming calls at the Intake Desk.
· Manages and monitors all appropriate email accounts and departmental fax machines to ensure timely handling of correspondence.
· Contact physicians/Clinics/ Hospitals/Nursing Homes/Sub-acute facilities to develop/maintain/follow up on pending and/or new referrals.
· Provides visibility on the hospital HCP assigned units under the supervision of HCP/Intake Manager/Account Manager.
· Assists the onsite HCP’s with obtaining/gathering referral intake data via Chart Record, ECIN, Carefinder Pro, Financial Office, Medical Records Department.
· Verifies that all new physicians’ license number and National Provider Identifies (NPI) number is registered, and confirms that the physician is not already in the system before entering into All-Scripts.
Qualifications:
· One year of clerical or administrative work in a healthcare facility
· Proficient in Excel and Word
· Good communications skills
· Ability to work with a team
· High school diploma
