Job Description:
HHA Certified Caregiver
high-quality, in-home care to assist clients in maintaining their independence, dignity, and
comfort. This role involves helping clients with daily personal tasks, monitoring their health, and
supporting a safe and clean home environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Personal Care Assistance
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and
toileting.
- Aid with mobility, including transfers and repositioning, ensuring clients’ safety.
2. Health Monitoring
- Observe and report any changes in clients’ physical or mental conditions to the supervising
nurse or family members.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate) as required.
3. Household Support
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized environment, including
laundry and changing bed linens.
- Prepare and serve meals, following dietary restrictions and nutrition plans.
4. Companionship and Emotional Support
- Engage clients in conversation and recreational activities to support emotional well-being.
- Accompany clients to appointments or social outings, if applicable.
5. Medication Assistance
- Remind clients to take prescribed medications and provide documentation of all activities as
needed.
- Report any concerns related to medication compliance to the supervising healthcare
professional.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification from a recognized program.
- Experience: Previous experience as an HHA or similar role in a home care or healthcare
setting is preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, bend, and assist clients with mobility needs.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a background check and valid driver’s license, if
applicable.
