JOB TITLE: Licensed Acupuncturist

Please join our thriving, well-established acupuncture business with two locations in mid-town east and the upper west side of Manhattan. NYC Points Acupuncture is looking for a part-time acupuncturist for evening and weekend hours. This position could possibly turn into a full-time position with benefits including a 401k plan, PTO (paid time off) and health care.

Hourly pay rate: $25.00 – $35.00
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled, certified and passionate acupuncturist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable, compassionate, and committed to providing high-quality care to our patients. As an acupuncturist you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, helping patients achieve optimal health and well-being.
Responsibilities:
Conduct initial assessment of patients’ health history, symptoms and lifestyle to develop personalized treatment plans.
Administer acupuncture treatments in accordance with traditional Chinese medicine principles.
Provide additional holistic therapies such as cupping, moxibustion, and herbal remedies as needed.
Educate patients about the benefits of acupuncture and provide guidance on lifestyle modifications to support healing.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient consultations, treatments, and progress notes.
Record and submit patient insurance information to insurance companies for reinbursement.
Be on time. Have time management skills and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
Re-stock and properly clean the therapy room after each treatment.
Qualifications:
Graduation with a Masters or Doctorate in Chinese Medicine and current NCCAOM certification in acupuncture.
Minimum of two years experience practicing acupuncture, preferably in a clinical setting.
Strong knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine principles, acupuncture techniques, and anatomy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients.
Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, with a commitment to promoting wellness.
Ability to work effectively and independently.
Willingness to continue learning and staying updated on the latest developments in acupuncture and herbal treatments.
Ability to engage patients with the practice during initial contract either online or phone call and retain patients throughout the treatment plan.
