We are looking for TWO FULL-TIME bilingual Medical Assistants ASAP in a busy single practitioner Family Practice in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn. You Must speak English and Spanish, Must have a certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant school, Experience Medical Assistants are preferred, but we will train you if you just graduated or you are about to finish your internship. We are willing to train new graduates who have completed their internship. We are also willing to take Interns with potential to hire upon completion. Our MA of 13 years is leaving due to health reasons.
Set Days Required: Monday Through Friday 9am -5pm,
Good verbal and written communication skills are required. Must know how to use a computer. We use EMR (electronic Medical Records) and Paper chart
The duties for this office include, but are not limited to the following:
Scheduling appointments
Answering telephones
Greeting patients
Using Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Preparing examination rooms and Examining chair after each patient
Preparing patients for examination and treatment
Take Vital Signs : BP, P, T, R, Wt, Ht,
Do EKG and PFT, Set up Nebulizer Machine, Oxygen tank and Oxygen Concentrator, Oxygen Saturation
Draw Blood; Preparing laboratory specimens
Using computer applications and electronic health records system
Updating patient medical records
Maintaining inventory of the rooms and supply stock
