Job Title: Breastfeeding Peer Counselor
Location: In Person
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8am to 4pm or 9 AM to 5 PM) With Alternating Saturdays.
Pay Rate: $17.25/hour + Full Benefits
Are you passionate about helping other moms succeed with breastfeeding? We're seeking a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor to support new moms in their breastfeeding journey! This is a full time in person position, Located in our clinic in Corona , Queens, New York.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide support and guidance to breastfeeding mothers, sharing your own experiences and helping them navigate their breastfeeding journey.
-Offer encouragement and practical tips to new moms.
-Answer questions, address concerns, and provide resources on breastfeeding.
-Communicate effectively both in person and remotely to assist clients.
-Maintain records of client interactions and follow up as needed.
Qualifications:
-Breastfeeding experience is a must – this role is designed for someone who has successfully breastfed and is eager to help other -moms.
-High School Diploma or equivalent.
-Computer literacy is required.
-Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must to effectively support our diverse community of moms.
-Prior experience in Healthcare is a plus!
