Over 100 year old, 4 generation family dental practice specializing in prosthodontics looking for a part-time dental hygienist. Initially two days a week with the possibility of additional time depending on patient service demands.

Needed skills:
- Valid dental hygiene license in NY state
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, removing plaque, and applying fluoride treatments
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for at-home care
- Take dental x-rays as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Follow aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care
- Proficiency in using dental software systems for patient management and documentation
- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures, including chairside assisting and instrument sterilization
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to educate patients on oral health topics
