Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. This role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication management, providing patient assessments, and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Dispense medications accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate medication therapy and provide recommendations for optimal treatment plans.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to manage medication therapy for patients, including those in critical care and acute care settings.
Provide immunizations and educate patients on medication administration, potential side effects, and proper usage.
Utilize pharmacy software and electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient information and medication records.
Perform compounding of medications as needed, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
Maintain inventory management practices to ensure adequate stock levels of medications and supplies.
Stay informed about new medications, therapies, and advancements in pharmacy practice.
Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times.
Skills
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
Proficient in using pharmacy software (Micro Merchant System), EMR systems, and EHR systems for patient documentation.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and care.
Critical thinking skills with the ability to assess complex medical situations effectively.
