We are a specialized medical practice that provides care to geriatric patients, and we are hiring a full-time Human Resources Manager.
This is a hands-on, standalone role — there is no assistant or support staff. You will be responsible for all HR functions, including hiring, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, benefits, and developing internal HR systems. The ideal candidate is professional, highly organized, and confident managing HR independently.
Requirements:
3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a standalone or lead role
Strong working knowledge of NYS and NYC labor laws
Proven experience handling hiring, onboarding, compliance, and employee relations
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Healthcare or medical practice experience is a plus
HR certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred but not required
What You’ll Be Doing:
Manage full-cycle recruiting and onboarding
Maintain HR compliance with city, state, and federal regulations
Handle employee relations and internal investigations
Administer benefits, PTO, and leave tracking
Maintain employee records and update HR policies and procedures
Oversee required trainings (e.g., harassment prevention)
Design and implement an annual performance review and raise process
Advise leadership on best practices in employee retention and engagement
